Vtiger CRM Integration
Connect SalesPartner to Vtiger CRM to log comments on your contact records automatically. Keep your CRM current after every conversation.
Why Connect Vtiger?
If your team manages leads and contacts in Vtiger, this keeps your records updated without manual work.
When SalesPartner talks to a lead, it adds a comment directly to the matching Vtiger contact record. Your team sees the full conversation history without leaving Vtiger.
What you get:
- No manual entry — Comments appear in Vtiger after every interaction
- Full history — Messages, appointments, and status changes all logged
- Team visibility — Everyone sees the latest activity on each contact
- Works on all Vtiger plans — Cloud and open source
API access is available on all Vtiger plans at no extra charge.
Finding Your Access Key
Vtiger calls its API credential an "Access Key." Here's how to find yours:
- Log in to Vtiger CRM
- Click your user avatar or name in the top-right corner
- Select My Preferences
- Scroll down to find your Access Key
- Copy it
You'll need both your Vtiger username (email address) and this Access Key. SalesPartner uses both together to authenticate.
Keep the Access Key private — it gives SalesPartner access to your Vtiger account.
Setting Up the Integration
Once you have your Access Key:
- Open the SalesPartner app
- Go to Settings → Integrations
- Find the Vtiger section
- Toggle the switch to Enable
- Enter your Vtiger username (your login email) in the first field
- Paste your Access Key in the second field
- Enter your Vtiger URL (e.g., `https://yourcompany.vtiger.com`)
- Click Test Connection
If the test succeeds, you'll see your Vtiger account name. You're connected.
What Gets Logged
SalesPartner adds a comment to the contact's Vtiger record when:
- A lead sends a message
- SalesPartner replies to a lead
- An appointment is booked or a reminder is sent
- A contact's status changes
Each comment is timestamped and includes the relevant details.
Note: The contact must already exist in Vtiger, matched by email address. If SalesPartner can't find a matching contact, nothing logs. Make sure leads are in Vtiger before conversations start.
Troubleshooting
Comments not appearing in Vtiger?
- Integration enabled? — Go to Settings → Integrations and confirm the toggle is on.
- All three fields filled in? — Vtiger requires your username, Access Key, and your Vtiger URL. Make sure none are missing.
- Correct URL format? — Include `https://` and the full domain (e.g., `https://yourcompany.vtiger.com`). No trailing slash.
- Access Key correct? — Go back to My Preferences in Vtiger and copy the Access Key again.
- Contact exists? — SalesPartner matches contacts by email. If the lead's email isn't in Vtiger, nothing logs.
Still stuck? Contact support with your Vtiger URL and the time you expected activity. We can check the logs.
