ActiveCampaign Integration

Connect SalesPartner to ActiveCampaign to log notes on your contact records automatically. Keep your CRM current after every conversation.

Why Connect ActiveCampaign?

If your team runs email marketing and CRM through ActiveCampaign, this keeps your contacts updated automatically.

When SalesPartner talks to a lead, it logs a note directly on the matching ActiveCampaign contact record. Your team sees the full conversation history without leaving ActiveCampaign.

What you get:

  • No manual entry — Notes appear in ActiveCampaign after every interaction
  • Full history — Messages, appointments, and status changes all logged
  • Team visibility — Everyone sees the latest activity on each contact
  • Works with your automations — Activity shows up alongside your existing flows

This works on any paid ActiveCampaign plan.

Getting Your API Key and URL

ActiveCampaign needs two things: an API key and your account URL. Both are in the same place.

  1. Log in to ActiveCampaign
  2. Click the Settings gear icon in the top-right corner
  3. Select Developer from the menu
  4. Copy your API Key
  5. Copy your API URL (looks like `https://yourname.api-us1.com`)

You'll need to paste both into SalesPartner.

Important: Each user in your ActiveCampaign account has their own API key. Use your own key — it will log activity as your user. If you need a shared key for the whole team, ask your ActiveCampaign admin.

Setting Up the Integration

Once you have your API key and URL:

  1. Open the SalesPartner app
  2. Go to SettingsIntegrations
  3. Find the ActiveCampaign section
  4. Toggle the switch to Enable
  5. Paste your API Key in the first field
  6. Paste your API URL in the second field
  7. Click Test Connection

If the test succeeds, you'll see your ActiveCampaign account name. You're connected.

From this point, SalesPartner will log notes on your ActiveCampaign contacts automatically.

What Gets Logged

SalesPartner adds a note to the contact's ActiveCampaign record when:

  • A lead sends a message
  • SalesPartner replies to a lead
  • An appointment is booked or a reminder is sent
  • A contact's status changes

Each note is timestamped and includes the relevant details.

Note: The contact must already exist in ActiveCampaign, matched by email address. If SalesPartner can't find a matching contact, the note won't log. Make sure leads are in ActiveCampaign before conversations start.

Troubleshooting

Notes not appearing in ActiveCampaign?

  1. Integration enabled? — Go to Settings → Integrations and confirm the toggle is on.
  1. Both fields filled in? — ActiveCampaign requires both an API key and an API URL. Make sure neither is missing.
  1. Correct API URL? — It should look like `https://yourname.api-us1.com`. Don't include a trailing slash.
  1. Contact exists? — SalesPartner matches contacts by email. If the lead's email isn't in ActiveCampaign, nothing logs.
  1. On a paid plan? — The API requires a paid ActiveCampaign plan (Lite or above). Trial accounts don't have API access.

Still stuck? Contact support with your ActiveCampaign account URL and the time you expected a note. We can check the logs.
