Newsletter Signup Widget

Add an email signup widget to any website. Each signup goes to your subscriber list in SalesPartner, with the consent text that the visitor saw.

What the Newsletter Widget Does

The newsletter widget is a signup box you add to your website. Visitors enter their email address and click the button. SalesPartner adds them to your subscriber list.

Why add the newsletter widget?

  • Works on any website — WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, or any HTML page
  • Shows where you put it — The widget appears at the place where you paste the code
  • Optional name fields — Ask for email only, or add first and last name
  • Consent record — Each signup stores the consent text that the visitor saw
  • Your branding — Colors, light or dark mode, and your own text
  • Spam protection — A hidden field stops spam bots, no CAPTCHAs
  • Conversion tracking — Signups count as registrations in your ad platforms

How to Enable the Newsletter Widget

Turn on the widget in SalesPartner before you add it to your site.

  1. Open SalesPartner and go to Settings → Channels → Newsletter
  2. Turn on Enable Newsletter Widget
  3. Set your title, subtitle, button text, and success message
  4. Write your consent text
  5. Choose the name fields: off, optional, or required
  6. Click Save

Your embed code appears on this page when the widget is on. Copy it and follow the installation steps below.

Installing on Your Website

Paste one code snippet where you want the signup box.

Get your embed code from Settings → Channels → Newsletter in SalesPartner. The widget shows at the place where you paste the code, so put it inside your page content, not in the page head.

Any Website (HTML)

  1. Copy your embed code from the Newsletter settings page
  2. Paste it in your page HTML where you want the signup box
  3. Save and publish your page

WordPress

  1. Open the page in the block editor
  2. Add a Custom HTML block where you want the signup box
  3. Paste your embed code and update the page

Shopify

  1. Go to Online Store → Themes → Customize
  2. Add a Custom Liquid section where you want the signup box
  3. Paste your embed code and save

Wix

  1. Add an Embed HTML element to your page
  2. Paste your embed code from SalesPartner settings
  3. Publish your site

Squarespace

  1. Edit the page and add a Code block
  2. Paste your embed code
  3. Save and publish

Webflow

  1. Drag an Embed element to the place you want the signup box
  2. Paste your embed code
  3. Publish your site

Fallback contact text If your company has a phone number or email in SalesPartner, the embed code includes a short text with them. Visitors see this text only when the widget cannot load. The widget removes the text when it loads.

Customization Options

You can change the widget in Settings → Channels → Newsletter.

Appearance Pick a primary color for the button and header. Set the color scheme to light, dark, or automatic.

Widget Text Set the title, subtitle, button text, and success message. Keep the title short, for example "Join our newsletter."

Consent Text This text shows under the button. SalesPartner stores it with each signup as proof of consent.

Name Fields

  • Off — Email only
  • Optional — First and last name, visitors can leave them blank
  • Required — Visitors must enter first and last name

Custom CSS Advanced users can add CSS to match their site. It applies to the live widget on your site, not to the preview. Target the widget classes, for example .spai-nl-card or .spai-nl-submit. On phone screens, the fields always stack in one column.

Preview The settings page shows a preview in light and dark mode before you save.

Managing Subscribers

Your subscriber list is on the same page, under the widget settings.

  • Search — Find a subscriber by email
  • Filter — Show subscribed or unsubscribed people
  • Unsubscribe or re-subscribe — Change a status from the row menu
  • View history — See each subscribe and unsubscribe action, with its date
  • Export CSV — Download the list

Conversion Tracking

The widget sends events to the analytics tools on your page. It finds the tools that you installed. No extra setup is necessary.

Events:

  • salespartner_newsletter_viewed — The widget loaded on the page
  • salespartner_newsletter_subscribed — A visitor subscribed

Analytics tools get both events: Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Microsoft Clarity, and Segment.

Ad platforms get only the signup, as a registration conversion:

  • Meta Pixel — CompleteRegistration
  • TikTok Pixel — CompleteRegistration
  • ChatGPT Ads — registration_completed. Create the "Registration completed" conversion in your ChatGPT Ads account.
  • Google Ads — a conversion, when you enter your Google Ads Conversion ID and Conversion Label in the Newsletter settings
  • LinkedIn — a conversion, when you enter your LinkedIn Conversion ID in the Newsletter settings. Create the conversion in LinkedIn Campaign Manager first.

Viewing the widget never counts as a conversion. If you do not use any of these tools, nothing fires and your site is not affected.

Troubleshooting

Widget not appearing on your site?

Check these common issues:

  1. Widget enabled? — Go to Settings → Channels → Newsletter and make sure the widget is on.
  1. Embed code placement? — Paste the code in the page content where you want the box, not inside <head>.
  1. Company ID correct? — Make sure the ID in your embed code matches your account.
  1. Cached page? — Clear your browser cache and reload. Some hosting providers keep old pages for a long time.

Visitors see the fallback contact text? The widget did not load. Check that the widget is on, then try a different browser. Some ad blockers stop the widget.

Signups not showing in SalesPartner? Check the subscriber list on the Newsletter settings page. Make sure that you look at the right company account.

Styling looks wrong? The widget uses Shadow DOM for CSS isolation. Your site styles do not change the widget, and the widget does not change your site. To change the widget style, use the Custom CSS field.
