Close CRM Integration

Connect SalesPartner to Close to log notes on your lead records automatically. Keep your pipeline current after every conversation.

Why Connect Close?

If your sales team works in Close, this keeps your lead records updated without the manual work.

When SalesPartner talks to a lead, it logs a note directly on the matching Close lead record. Your team sees the full conversation history without leaving Close.

What you get:

  • No manual entry — Notes appear in Close after every interaction
  • Full history — Messages, appointments, and status changes all logged
  • Team visibility — Everyone on your team sees the latest activity
  • Fits your sales workflow — No extra tools or tab switching

This works on any paid Close plan.

Creating an API Key

Close uses API keys for integrations. Here's how to create one:

  1. Log in to Close
  2. Click the Settings icon in the left sidebar
  3. Go to DeveloperAPI Keys
  4. Click + New API Key
  5. Give it a name — something like "SalesPartner"
  6. Copy the key immediately — Close only shows it once

Important: Once you leave the page, the full key is gone. Only the key ID stays visible. If you lose it, delete the key and create a new one.

The key acts as you — it has the same access as your Close user account. Keep it private.

Setting Up the Integration

Once you have your API key:

  1. Open the SalesPartner app
  2. Go to SettingsIntegrations
  3. Find the Close section
  4. Toggle the switch to Enable
  5. Paste your API key in the field
  6. Click Test Connection

If the test succeeds, you'll see your Close organization name. You're connected.

From this point, SalesPartner will log notes on your Close lead records automatically.

What Gets Logged

SalesPartner adds a note to the lead record in Close when:

  • A lead sends a message
  • SalesPartner replies to a lead
  • An appointment is booked or a reminder is sent
  • A contact's status changes

Each note is timestamped and includes the relevant details.

Note: The contact must already exist in Close as a lead, matched by email address. If SalesPartner can't find a matching lead, the note won't log. Make sure leads are in Close before conversations start.

Troubleshooting

Notes not showing up in Close?

  1. Integration enabled? — Go to Settings → Integrations and confirm the toggle is on.
  1. Key entered correctly? — If you didn't copy it when it was first shown, you'll need to delete the key in Close and create a new one. Close only shows the full key once.
  1. Lead exists in Close? — SalesPartner matches leads by email. If the lead's email isn't in Close, nothing logs.
  1. On a paid plan? — API access requires a paid Close subscription.

Still stuck? Contact support with your Close organization name and the time you expected a note. We can check the logs.
